Of course, it’s not always that easy to get water during long runs, unless you are carrying it with you that is why the newer running water bottles come in very handy.

Tips for choosing the Best Water Bottle

There are some essential guidelines to follow in choosing the best water bottle for you.

Size/Volume

It is important to select the right size according to your needs. Usually, the normal water bottles range from 16 to 32ounces which falls roughly from 500ml to 1000ml. The size of the sports water bottle depends on the water intake required by you during the activity. Some bottles are available in different sizes so depending on your requirement you can select the size that perfectly matches your need.

Materials

The best sports water bottles are made from tough materials that can withstand impact with rough handling also. Plastic, stainless steel, and aluminum are some common materials that are used in water bottles.

Safety

Those bottles are safe to use that don’t contain harmful toxins such as BPA (Bisphenol), lead, Phthalates, or PFOA.

Nozzles

The nozzle should allow you to drink easily without requiring lots of suction. It should also prevent the water from leaking, when not in use.

Leak-proof

The best water bottle will always secure the content without causing it to spill even under extreme activities such as running, jogging, or cycling.

Portability

A good water bottle needs to be easy, convenient, lightweight, come in a handy size, and is ergonomically designed.

Insulation

The type of insulation depends on the buyer’s preference and need such as if you are among those who love to drink chilled water during a hike, so it is advised to buy a highly insulated bottle.

Durability

Durability is another important factor in choosing the water bottle. If you do not want to keep changing the bottle every few months, it is wise to go for a stainless steel bottle instead of a plastic one.

Design

There are various design sports water bottles available in the market, such as a sipper, straw, flask styled, wide-mouth bottle, etc. It depends on your preference to select that you liked best for your needs.

Conclusion

Running or jogging water bottles are the best type of hydration gear yet they are simple, convenient, and comfortable to wear. You don’t have to worry about carrying weight on your back or a bouncing belt splashing around at your waist side.

So, if you are ready for your next-level in running then it starts with hydration and a running water bottle can help take you there.

Best Guide For Tennis Racquet

The right tennis racquet can help immensely in improving your tennis game due to putting the effort into looking at all the different factors that make your game look awesome. When you take these factors into consideration, you’ll start to understand how important it is to choose a racquet that suits your specific needs. So, with that being said, we’ll be showing you how to choose a tennis racquet today.

Factors To Consider

There are several factors in determining the right selection of racquet according to skill level. Let’s check out some important points before you search the market for your dream racquet.

Type Of Rackets:

The type of racket you choose needs to be perfect according to your skill level, physical strength, physical build and age profile. We are discussing here the most common types of rackets.

1- Lightweight Rackets:

The lightweight rackets are more common especially for beginners and intermediate level players who are not physically very strong or athletic. The majority of advanced players love this category for an easy to swing, user-friendly and powerful approach.

2- Powerful Control Rackets:

This category is more often used by anyone due to a nice combination of power and control. The Majority of players love this type of racket and it is also known as “Tweener Rackets” It is great for physically strong players, athletic beginners, intermediate and advanced players as well.

3- Ultimate Control Rackets:

This type of racket is mostly used by advanced players with full strokes, or for Powerful Athletic Intermediates who need to take a big swing at the ball. These rackets encourage the development of full- flowing strokes and good technique while on the other side slightly lighter ones in this category are probably best for juniors.

Material:

Tennis frames and racquet technology have continued to evolve and improve since the origin of the tennis racquet. Some of the most popular materials used in the construction of frames include:

1- Graphite is the most common material used today. It’s lightweight and strong.
2- Aluminum is also still commonly used material.
3- Titanium is super strong and ultra-light. It helps to create a stiffer frame for added power.
4- Kevlar is lightweight and used to create rigid frames. It is combined with graphite for vibration and improve feel.
5- Carbon Fiber is a composite material that often includes graphite. It is used to create sticks that are stiffer and easier to control while still allowing for effortless power.
6- Wood and Metal Alloys are still used to make cheaper racquets. But not recommended if you’re serious about playing and improving your game.

String Pattern:

The string pattern of a racquet influences many aspects of its overall performance and feel but many players ignore this important factor. String patterns are commonly referred to as open or closed.

1- Open String Pattern:

Open string patterns allow the main strings to deflect more. Moreover, the main strings will snap back into position providing more spin with certain string types. This type is good in providing greater ball rebound and a higher launch angle. It is easy for a player to explore simple access to depth and pace.

2- Closed String Pattern:

The Closed string pattern doesn’t allow the main string to deflect as much upon ball impact that results in less rebound energy. This pattern gives the players added control to swing quickly and get the ball spinning quickly as well. This pattern can last longer by offering the softer, thinner and more feel oriented strings without sacrificing durability and comfort.

Swing Weight:

Swing weight is the most important and decisive factor as compared to strung weight. It gives you an indication of how heavy it feels to swing a racquet while comparing the measurement anywhere from 0-1000. The racquet will be harder to swing on a higher rating while easier on a lower rating. Most of the racquet’s swing weight in the market is ranging between 280-350. It is also important to know that a swing weight depends on racquet weight, length, head size, and the balance point.

Lower swing weight is perfect for a faster head speed, more spin and ranging below 310 while a higher swing weight is great for more stability, power and considered above the rating of 330. Lastly, the medium swing weight is an ideal combination of both sides by giving you the range in between 311-329

Frame Stiffness / Flex Rating:

A stiffer racquet bends so the maximum amount of power can be transferred to the ball. The more flexible racquet results in more energy loss, although it provides added spin and less strain. You also need to keep that in mind that the stiffer frames naturally cause more strain on the wrist, arm, and shoulder, so it’s not recommended to pick a frame that is more than stiff and hard to handle.
Frames have a standard flex rating anywhere from 0-100. Most racquets are rated around 50 to 80. Low ratings are falling below 60, medium anywhere from 61-68, and high fall in the rating anywhere above 69.

Head Size:

The tennis racket head size consists of the size of the actual hitting area within the frame. A larger head size would typically be an ideal choice due to its larger sweet spot. This area comes in the middle of the racket where you want to hit your shots. It is very useful for beginners to have a larger sweet spot for developing the technique and expertise. A beginner will find it easier to get the ball in due to larger racket head and sweet spot even if he isn’t good in timing and stroke.

Tennis racket head sizes are as follows:
Midsize 80-94 square inches
Mid plus 95-105 square inches
Oversize 110-115 square inches
Super oversize 116-135 square inches

Weight:

The beginners need to find a good racket that should be lighter in weight. It will make easier to swing the racket and play for longer before tiring in case of a lighter racquet. The heavier pick can be a little harder to move as it requires more muscle power to involve. You probably should be cautious of getting a racket that is too lighter or too heavier but just try to find the one in between both for perfect performance, grip and developing skills and techniques.

Grip Size:

The right grip size for your tennis racket is also an important factor. The small grip will end up squeezing the handle too much which will tire your muscles and eventually lead to injury. On the other hand, too- large grip will make it harder for you to use your wrist and make changes to your grip. It is important to know that a good grip size should feel comfortable to play with allowing for a full range of motion in your wrist and forearm.

There are few different size grips available.
Small hand
4 inches (US size) / 0 (Euro size)
4-1/8 inches (US size) / 1 (Euro size)
4-1/4 inches (US size) / 2 (Euro size)
Medium hand
4-3/8 inches (US size) / 3 (Euro size)
4-1/2 inches (US size) / 4 (Euro size)
Large hand
4-5/8 inches (US size) / 5 (Euro size)
4-3/4 inches (US size) / 6 (Euro size)

Length:

The length plays an important role in the overall performance of the game as well. Normally racquets are available in lengths ranging from 26.5 to 29 inches as 29 inches is the legal maximum for tournament play. The standard length for an adult tennis racquet is 27 inches. A racquet that is longer in length provides more reach on groundstrokes, added leverage on serves and slightly more power overall than standard length racquets. Many power racquets are lighter to keep them maneuverable even at longer lengths.

Conclusion

A tennis racket for you to start as a beginner won’t be a racket for the rest of your life. It does really matter to switch to an intermediate racket by the time when you improve your game to an upgraded level. The rackets given above will be a good start for an average player or a beginner. This is a great blessing for you to feel loved by your game. It will make you enthusiastic about pursuing more success. That’s it! You would enjoy a real achievement with perfect investment for your right purchase as a beginner to an intermediate tennis racquet.

You need an edge and having the best tennis shoes to enable you to get around the court effortlessly specially when you are competing. As we reviewed some of the coolest tennis shoes out there and give you some insight for winning edge for taking on your opponents then it is necessary to guide you for the necessities of buying a perfect pair of tennis shoes also. When considering to buy tennis sports shoes, you should consider their weight, the type of material, the traction, and of course the style of shoe that suits your game.

Choose The Perfect Tennis Shoes For You:

Tennis is a tough game with quick stops and starts, fast movements, and change direction at urgent notice. You will certainly require to pick the right pair of tennis shoes that holds the power to give a boost to your game with no risks involved in getting injured as you raise the pace on the court.

You require to figure out about your foot type, foot size, playing court, playing style, types of materials, all other needs, and of course good knowledge about the pair of tennis shoes that you are going to pick.
Ultimately, you’ll want to find a pair of tennis shoes that provide a faster level of speed, agility, and endurance tailored for your play. So, let’s start!
Type of Foot You Have:

This is the most important thing to know about the type of foot you have so you can select the perfect pair of tennis shoes. Tennis players with flat feet need a stable shoe that can support their low arches because with too high an arch can lead to injury, discomfort and lead to costly operations. It is possible that players with both low and high arches prefer the same arch support. It’s not necessary that one-size-fits-all.

Types Of  Shoe Styles:

Tennis shoes are uniquely designed with patterned soles and are usually flat so it is important to know the difference between an ideal tennis shoe that makes them stand out from one another.
The soles are made according to the type of surface you are going to play on and using the wrong type of shoes can not only strain your muscles but also increase the risks of suffering from short and long-term injuries leading to permanent damage.

Knowing Your Playing Style:

Every tennis player must first know their personal playing style depending on the fact that you might want to invest in a pair of shoes that reflect the way you play. You must choose the one that complements your movement on the court while at the same minimizing the risks of strains and causing discomfort. On average, tennis players can be aggressive by nature or baseline-inclined, each with its own style and benefits.

Court Surface Type:

A certain type of court surfaces plays an important role when you are going to buy the pair of tennis shoes like hard concrete surfaces require tennis shoes with a sturdy, hardcore outer soling with a strong upper covering due to it may tend to wear out the sole quickly. The material made with high-quality leather or vinyl is a good choice for hard clay surface.

Another option comes with also multi-court tennis shoes out there that are designed for both soft and hard court surfaces with the flexibility to play in different weather conditions.

Essentials of Lateral Support:

Tennis is a game that requires a lot of changes in direction and movement, so you need to look for a pair that is steady, durable and secure. An optimum level of lateral support in a tennis shoe is essential not only does it allow ease of movement but also helps to prevent injuries long-term, especially if you are a regular tennis player.
You need to keep this in mind that you will most likely change direction hundreds of times during the game, you want the soles of your shoes to be as reliable as possible with a fair bit of flexibility and durability on the court.

Proper Cushioning:

All tennis shoes are requiring to have proper cushioning as it provides support and reliability. The two main materials utilized for this purpose are EVA and polyurethane. Those players who are seeking additional stability and sturdiness, polyurethane is a better choice as it is heavier and long-lasting. EVA, on the other hand, is lighter and does not provide an ample amount of stability. Look out for the best type of cushioning that is light yet stable but not too soft. If you are looking to play on hard surfaces, then you would more likely need a shoe with good comfort and cushioning.

Comfort Level:

Comfort level is the basic and another important factor for maintaining certain standards. It is necessary to have a proper tongue padding to prevent the laces from causing any discomfort. A softer cushioning is preferred for flat feet players whereas people who have arched feet, firm, sturdy shoes are a much better choice.

Sole Type:

Sole type is also another important factor in determining the right pair of tennis shoes. The perfect sole type needs to match with the perfect type of court surface. The different types of tennis shoes require to get selected according to the different types of courts like Concrete courts, grass courts, clay courts or either indoor carpets. Passive players require much more flexible soles than aggressive players who prefer sturdy ones because soles affect the potential for changing direction quickly in running.

Choose Right Size:

Any player must consider three factors in selecting a perfect tennis shoe size; these include length, width, and height. If you are wearing tennis shoes that are too big, it can possibly cause blisters and would not provide the required support and stability in playing. On the other hand, small size will cause a great deal of discomfort and can damage your feet permanently over time.

Cost:

A professional player will always look for the best and reasonably priced tennis shoes. You need to understand the quality with the right price that would not compromise on taking the risk of any injuries for low priced or low-quality shoes. It would really be ideal if you just invest in high-quality long-lasting shoes with going an average range of price. It’s an investment that will worth your performance on the court without giving you risks and injuries.

Risk Of Plantar Fasciitis:

Plantar Fasciitis is a common occurrence during the course of a player’s career who participate in energetic sports and games. Tennis players are usually at a higher risk of developing plantar fasciitis than any other sport due to certain biomechanical issues caused by wearing shoes with insufficient arch support, lack of stretching or playing on uneven surfaces.

It is important to choose the right tennis shoes that will prevent plantar fasciitis from ever happening in the first place. This will help with keeping the pain away and also allow you to produce an energetic performance on the court.

Conclusion

The most important decision for a tennis player is to choose the right pair of tennis shoes. Simply, the wrong footwear can cause you not only lots of pain but give you miss time on the court with injuries that can affect your performance badly. So it is better to make the right decision at right time by carefully reviewing important points before buying your dream tennis shoes.

g) During a tiebreaker (tiebreak) game, the player who was serving the 6 all game will serve for the first point. After the first point, the service rotates towards the opponent for the next two points. The service will keep rotating then after every two points.

h) During a tiebreak, each time, the service for the first point will be from the right side of the court, while the next service will be from the left side.

c. Scoring Rules of Tennis

i. Point

A point is awarded to the player, who hits the tennis ball with his racket into the opponent’s court, but the opponent does not return it into the first player’s court. Only one bounce of the ball per shot is allowed in each court.

ii. Love

“Love” in tennis means “zero” score. It evolved from the French word “l’oeuf”, which means ‘egg’. They said it l’oeuf, because the symbol of zero “0” resembled an egg.

iii. All

In tennis, if both the players have equal points, then the scores are spoken with the term all. For example, Love all, 15 all, 30 all, etc.

iv. Winning a Game

Normally, the players first gaining four points wins the game. Without any point means “Love”, the first point gives a score of 15, the second point takes the score to 30, the third point takes the total score to 40, and the fourth point makes it a game (Table 8).

v. Deuce

If the score of both players ties at 40, i.e. 40-40 (40 all), the situation is called deuce. Deuce is originated from the French phrase “à deux” which means “at two”(Table 9).

Winning a Game

vi. Advantage In

After the deuce, the winner of the next point gets an advantage. Serving player is not changed in case any player takes the game into deuce or advantage(Table 10).                                                                            Famous Female Tennis Players of All Time

Famous Male Tennis Players of All Time

viii. Advantage Out

If the player who got the advantage loses the next point, the advantage is lost, and the score is again deuce(Table 12).

Famous Female Tennis Players of All Time

ix. Winning a Game after Deuce and Advantage

After the deuce, any player getting the advantage can win after another consecutive point(Table 13).

x. Winning a Set

Normally, a player must win a minimum of 6 games in tennis to win a set. However, a set is tied if the score is 5 all(Table 14).

Classification of Tennis Tournaments

xi. Winning after 5 All

If the score is 5 all, then the set is tied. Now, the winning player must 7 games(Table 15).

Scoring Rules of Tennis

In the above example, currently, the 3rd set is in progress. Player 2 has won 6 games. But the set is still not finished. The current score of Player 2 is 40-15. If the Player 2 further wins a point, then the game will be won. The Player 2 will win the 3rd set with a score of 7-5. Now the summary of the total sets will be 2-1 (Table 16).

xii. 12-Point Tiebreaker

a) If the score is 6 all, then a tiebreaker (also called tiebreak) game will be played.

b) Points and service rules change for a tie-breaker. The rule is explained in the service rules section above.

c)  In a tiebreak, the points of the game are not counted as Love, 15, 30, 40 and game. Rather, points for a tiebreak game are counted as ordinary numbers, i.e. 1,2,3,4, etc.

d) The minimum number of points needed to win the tiebreaker is 7 (Table 17). The minimum margin of win is 2 points. This tiebreak system is called “12-point” tiebreaker.

Famous Male Tennis Players of All Time

In the above scorecard, the Player 1 won the set. The game score was 7-5 points. The set score became 7-6 games, which was the score of the 4th set. The match score is now 2 all sets. You can see the revised scorecard below in Table 18.
